Frames & Frequencies : A Music-to-Film Licensing Initiative
Frames & Frequencies is a collaborative music-to-film licensing initiative by World Music Development and Park County Creative Alliance, funded by Colorado Creative Industries.
We’re looking to match 2–3 independent Colorado musicians or bands with selected independent Colorado filmmakers who will incorporate your original music into their film projects. You may be asked to license an existing track or, if mutually agreed upon, collaborate on a brand-new song created specifically for the film.
Selected artists will:
- Have at least one song licensed for placement in a Colorado-made film
- Receive professional support to prepare their track(s) for sync licensing, including metadata formatting and digital delivery requirements
- Be paid licensing fees (by Park County Creative Alliance on behalf of the filmmaker)
- If needed, have newly created tracks professionally recorded (production costs covered by World Music Development)
This is a unique opportunity to build meaningful connections with filmmakers, learn real-world sync licensing practices, and expand your portfolio with film placements that can lead to ongoing professional opportunities.
