Grant Writer

We are looking to add a dedicated Grant Writer to write grant proposals for our growing nonprofit organization. The Grant Writer will write coherent, organized and compelling proposals. You will actively research, identify, and write proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects, in order to successfully secure new and renewal funding from government, foundations and corporations. You will apply your knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach income goals.

  • A strong writer who has a way with words, who can tell our story, and bring the impact of World Music Development’s work to life for our donors and supporters;
  • Someone who is able to research and write high-quality grants;
  • Composed, professional demeanor;
  • Ability to work under deadlines;
  • Solid computer skills and fundamental understanding of grants;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Someone who believes in World Music Development’s values and encourages others to do the same.

This position is classified as a commissioned sub-contractor.
